HKS Intercooler Kit for Mitsubishi LANCER EVOLUTION X CZ4A
■Features
- R type core, which is large capacity + low pressure loss type, was selected. Performance will be improved even with stock ECU.
- The side tank has effective usage of air flow of core bumper open from the intercooler entrance to exit.
- We made it very short piping layout and large radius of bending to reduce the bad response caused by front mount layout. So it will have about same as the stock intercooler boost pressure spooling.
- Stock intercooler in the engine compartment, the core tends to accumulate the heat from engine and cause knocking for the starting. By putting the intercooler in front help prevent the knocking and make it unbreakable tuning.
- You can improve performance with normal ECU but using HKS F-CON iS/V Pro for setting let you have more and better performance.
- Lightweight R-Type core, which has high cooling efficiency and less pressure loss.
- In order to improve response, pipe is designed short and less bending layout.
- Just a small modification of front bumper is required for installation.
- High performance “φ70 Piping spec” and low cost “. (Stock Piping is φ60.)
- Core size (525 x 304 x 103), Stock (490 x 292 x 65)
- Stock air cleaner box, Racing Suction Reloaded, SSQV, Intercooler Piping Kit can be used together.

■REMARKS
- Modification of head lamp support upper panel, reinforcement and air con pipe are required during installation.
- Re-setting of ECU is not required.
- Area of core will be larger than stock and it is thicker. Therefore, upgrading of radiator is recommended for sport driving.
【R TYPE INTERCOOLER】
R TYPE is designed for circuit use; ideal to use with a stock replacement type turbine to wastegate type large size turbine. This intercooler derives better turbine performance regardless the engine rpm during driving on a straight track and acceleration after cornering.
The weight is approximately 25% lighter than a conventional product. (In-house comparison).
